The Night Everything Changed

It was an ordinary evening. RabbitMix sat at his desk, headphones on, completely immersed in Prey. The world outside had faded away, replaced by the mysteries of Talos I.

Then came the sound — a sudden, violent pop, followed by the unmistakable crack of breaking glass. At first, he thought a light bulb had burst. But then he saw it: a cloud of drywall dust hanging in the air, and a hole — mere inches from his monitor.

"I started looking for where the bullet had ended up and my heart sunk as I saw this hole in my Elder Scrolls Anthology..."

A stray bullet had pierced through his wall, traveling through the night air with deadly intent. But fate had other plans.

The bullet's path was blocked by something unexpected: The Elder Scrolls Anthology — a collector's edition containing Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. The projectile tore through the box, through the game cases, finally coming to rest buried deep within the Morrowind expansion discs.

The games that had given him countless hours of adventure, of dragon slaying and dungeon crawling, had now given him something more precious: his life.

"Gaming isn't just entertainment. Sometimes, it's armor."
